Question 1 of 12
How old are you?
We use age to calibrate against your peer group.
Question 2 of 12
Which best describes you?
Used to calibrate against the right physiology benchmarks.
Male
Female
Question 3 of 12
Height and weight?
Lever length and mass behind the swing both matter.
Question 4 of 12
Do you know your current driver swing speed?
If you have been fitted or used a launch monitor, enter it. Leave blank if you have not measured.
Question 5 of 12
Vertical Jump
If known, enter inches. Otherwise, rate your general lower-body strength and power for someone your age.

Question 6 of 12
How mobile are your hips?
Can you squat deep, turn freely in a backswing, cross your legs easily, sit on the floor comfortably?

Question 7 of 12
How well does your mid-back rotate?
Seated with knees pinned, how far can you turn your shoulders? Can you make a full backswing shoulder turn without the hips cheating?

Question 8 of 12
Trap Bar Deadlift
If known, pick the heaviest you can do with good form. Bodyweight means the total weight on the bar equals your bodyweight, so if you weigh 200 lb you can lift a trap bar loaded to 200 lb total.
I don't deadlift / unsure
I can lift my bodyweight
I can lift 1.5x my bodyweight
I can lift 2x my bodyweight
I can lift 2.5x my bodyweight or more
Question 9 of 12
How are your lunges?
Reverse lunge or walking lunge, controlled, full depth. Pick the best you can do with good form.
I can't do 8 bodyweight lunges
I can do 8 bodyweight lunges
I can do lunges with 50% bodyweight added
Question 10 of 12
Sprinter or endurance?
Growing up and today, were you more a short-burst athlete or a go-forever athlete?
1Endurance
2Mostly end.

Question 11 of 12
How well sequenced is your swing?
"My swing and movement feel well sequenced. I do not have big flaws such as over the top, early extension, or casting."

Why you may be swinging slower than this

A ceiling is what your body is built to do. A governor is what is keeping you from getting there. Here are the six most common governors we see in our clinic. Any one of them can leave 5 to 20 mph on the table.

  • A specific strength gap
Your deadlift and lunge numbers tell us global strength, but not what is weak and where. A single-leg deficit, a weak posterior chain, or weak rotational core can cap how much force you deliver to the club.
  • You misjudged a physical trait
Your potential number is only as accurate as the inputs you gave. Hips you rated mobile may be hiding a 20-degree deficit on one side. T-spine rotation you called a 4 may test a 2. A strength you underrated could push your ceiling higher than this result shows. Either way, the number above may not perfectly reflect where you actually are. An in-person assessment measures what you cannot see about yourself.
  • Sequencing is off
Even from a great backswing position, speed is multiplied by the ORDER you unload: hips start, torso follows, arms, then club. When you throw your hands out early, do not use your levers (lead arm, trail elbow, wrist hinge), or stall your post leg, you leak speed before it reaches the clubface. This is the governor we see most in physically fit golfers with sound positions.
  • Stability is leaking
Speed needs an anchor. If your lead foot, trail hip, or lead shoulder cannot stabilize at impact, your body shuts down speed to protect itself. You will physically brace and lose mph.
  • An underlying injury or compensation
A nagging back, hip, shoulder, or wrist issue (even one you can swing through) causes your brain to limit output. Old injuries that healed years ago can still leave motor patterns in place. Clearing these up often unlocks surprising amounts of speed.
  • Technique: setup, grip, and backswing position
The positions you set up in, how you grip the club, and where you arrive at the top. A grip that is too strong or weak, a setup that limits your turn, or a backswing that drifts out of position all mean you cannot sequence effectively from there. The downstream fault (club steepens in transition, you stall out, you early extend to get the club back to the ball) looks like a sequencing problem but is really a position problem. Fix the position first, then sequencing can work.

Why your swing speed might actually be higher than this

This number is an estimate based on your responses to 11 questions. Golf athletes are complex, and we did not test every variable. You may be stronger, more mobile, more explosive, or more skilled in areas we could not assess here. A specific strength we did not ask about, a technique strength that is already dialed in, or an inherited trait like fast-twitch recruitment can all push your ceiling higher than this result shows. The only way to know for sure is a full in-person assessment.
